START DRAWING NOW
You have permission to make mistakes. You are supposed to make mistakes. You don't pick up a guitar and play perfectly. You pluck the strings and learn from your mistakes. Drawing is no different. And the more mistakes you make, the faster you become better.

This is a wonderful review for any artist at any stage. We become intimidated by the idea of producing a perfect drawing, instead of focusing on the joy of drawing a leaf or a feather or even a stone just because it has a fun texture.

I really enjoyed this video, Mike. My confidence in drawing tends to yo-yo pretty extremely but your videos always give me the boost I need to get back at it. Thank you.

Your discussion of the mindset we should have as we approach our art was just what I needed to hear. My improvement in your classes, combined with constantly seeing your superb work, resulted in me becoming overly analytical, making my art work instead of fun. This video was a reminder that it is okay to enjoy art that I want to do.
