I dug out the original reference photos for this Beagle hoping they might remind me of the origin, but they are badly faded and offer no clue. Most likely they were taking clandestinely at a dog show (if I ask before taking photos the owners inevitably put it into a show pose - but I want relaxed dogs!).

The drawing took approximately 75 hours to complete.
